Prince Harry ‘totally whipped’ by Meghan Markle — and King Charles knows it: royal expert

Prince Harry is “totally whipped” by his wife, Meghan Markle — and King Charles is fully aware of it, a royal commentator has claimed.

Royal broadcaster Esther Krakue insisted that it’s well-known among the royals that the Duchess of Sussex, 43, has the “Spare” author under her thumb.

“We know that King Charles said something about him being whipped,” Krakue told the Sun.

“We keep hearing things consistently coming out from courtiers and people that are close to the royal family,” she added.

Krakue, who discussed the Sussexes with royal biographer Phil Dampier, said the late Queen Elizabeth II’s opinion of the “Suits” alum had dramatically changed over time.

“The Queen’s opinion of Meghan evolved, and it’s much like how the country’s opinion evolved,” she said.

“And much like the public, I think the Queen thought Meghan was a breath of fresh air. Very intelligent, very well-spoken, obviously from her acting background,” Krakue told the outlet.

“And she worked, she welcomed her,” Krakue went on. “I think, like much of the country with open arms, I think where things went wrong was clearly the cultural clash.”

Krauke claimed that the former actress thought she was “marrying a billionaire” — when in reality, this was not the case.

Markle “was marrying a millionaire with, like, sort of a reduced status,” she said of the As Ever founder, who has son Archie and daughter Lilibet with Prince Harry.

“So that might have been not appealing eventually. But also I just, I don’t think she fully understood or was even interested in what the role was supposed to become,” she said.

Krakue’s comments echoed that of the late Queen’s cousin and closest confidante, who shared rare insight into how Markle’s arrival into the royal fold played out behind closed doors.

Lady Elizabeth Anson, who died in 2020 at age 79, divulged how the late monarch felt about the duchess in an interview for the Times of London, published posthumously, with royal author Sally Bedell Smith.

According to Bedell Smith, who spoke to the royal two weeks before the Sussexes tied the knot in May 2018, Anson said at the time that “the jury is out on whether she likes Meghan.”

“My Jemima is very worried,” Anson said, using her loving nickname for the late Queen. “Harry is besotted and weak about women. We hope, but don’t quite think she is in love. We think she engineered it all.”

Following the pair’s nuptials, Anson claimed that they gradually started distancing themselves from Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Sussexes quit royal life in 2020 and moved to Montecito, California.
“Meghan and William and Kate are not working well,” Anson told Bedell Smith. “That is what the Queen said, particularly about the two girls. It’s worrying that so many people are questioning whether Meghan is right for Harry.”

“The problem, bless his heart, is that Harry is neither bright nor strong, and she is both,” she added.
