Prince William ‘unaware’ of Sussex crunch talks between King and Harry

Prince William was “unaware” of the Sussex crunch talks between the King and Prince Harry until the photographs were publicised, sources have claimed.

A peace meeting between King Charles and the Duke of Sussex’s representatives took place at a London private members’ club last week.

The Prince of Wales’s team was “notably absent” from the talks, which took place near the King’s residence, Clarence House.

Sources suggest William only learnt about the summit through Sunday newspapers.

Prince William and Prince Harry

“William reading about the meeting in Sunday’s papers will not go down well,” a source told the Daily Beast, suggesting his team had not been invited to participate.

The meeting brought together the King’s communications secretary and Prince Harry’s chief communications officer and head of PR for informal discussions.

A longtime friend of William has revealed the depth of the Prince of Wales’ opposition to any reconciliation with his brother.

King Charles and Prince Harry

“William will never, ever forgive Harry for what he has done,” the insider told the publication.

The friend emphasised William’s firm stance on the matter, stating: “Charles is the King; he can do what he likes.

“But make no mistake: William believes with every fibre of his being that giving Harry and Meghan back any royal imprimatur is a huge mistake.”

The comments suggest a significant rift remains between the brothers, with William seeming unwilling to support any moves towards reconciliation.
