Meghan Markle criticised over Lilibet’s dress in new Disneyland photos but trolls got it wrong

Meghan Markle has been called out by cruel online trolls over Princess Lilibet’s dress in new photos, but they’re completely wrong.

The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram earlier on Tuesday (12 May) to share six snaps from a recent family trip to Disneyland with her husband, Prince Harry, son Prince Archie, who turned seven last week (6 May) and daughter Princess Lilibet, who turns five early doors next month (4 June).

Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, also joined in on the family fun in Anaheim, California.

Snaps included Meghan giving her mum a kiss on the cheek, the family walking around the park, a boat ride and Lilibet hugging Cinderella, as well as meeting Sleeping Beauty’s Princess Aurora.

Meghan captioned the sweet photo dump with a single red heart emoji.

“They were celebrating the kids’ birthdays together,” a source tells PEOPLE. “The kids did lots of rides, and it was a special way to extend Mother’s Day for Meghan and her mum.”

It didn’t take long for the anti-Meghan Markle brigade to rush to social media though, absolutely fuming over their belief that the mum-of-two had allegedly dressed Lilibet in the ‘same dress’ as seen in older family photos, sparking an avalanche of unfounded speculation.

One X user penned: “Again with the same clothes?”

A second seethed: “Exact same clothes as last year. Who is she trying to kid?”

“Same clothes,” echoed a final X user.

Such internet trolls, however, are sorely mistaken as Lilibet’s dress seen in Meghan’s latest Instagram post is just similar to one she has previously worn – not the same.

Last June, Meghan and Harry took their children to Disneyland, with the Duchess sharing a clip to Instagram showing her family-of-four posing for photos, while Archie and Lilibet’s faces were covered by heart emojis.

The parents could also be seen introducing their kids to Frozen’s Queen Elsa, riding the King Arthur Carousel, tucking into a Little Mermaid cake and browsing for Mickey and Minnie Mouse plushies.

“Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!” Meghan captioned the post.

Harry previously opened up about his personal connection to Disneyland, opening up about his fond memories of the park on The Happiest Story on Earth: 70 Years of Disneyland — A Special Edition of 20/20 back in September of last year.

“I went with my mum and my brother. I remember it very, very well,” the father-of-two said in the interview. “I remember losing it as a kid with all the characters. Like, losing it.”

Harry also confessed that he went on the Space Mountain ride ’10, maybe 12 times’.
